Post 6: My favorite Festivity

My favorite festivity is the Christmas, celebrated on December 25th of any years on the occidentals cultures, near to the new years. It's a celebration which commemorate the birth of the king of kings, the birth of Jesus Christ, son of God, born from a virgin woman named María Magdalena. It's celebrated since the fourth century, although it's celebrated also on January 7th, because in others Orthodox church, like the Orthodox Church of Russia and of Jerusalem, don't accepted the reform done to the Julian calendar, changing to the Gregorian calendar.

This festivity it celebrated for many people around the world, Christians and people of other religions, because the date has lose the real signification. Today, the Christmas looks for generate a family ambient, where exist solidarity and respect for the other, but unfortunately the festivity is used for the market, encourage the alienation by the sales, offer and demand, and other capitalist ideas.

My family and I used this festivity to stay together in the home, although we buy gift too, it's a good opportunity to fill up ours closet.
